International Express Awards

Australian money spinning down the drainInternational Express Awards (IEA) boldly tells you they are not another “junk mail” letter or a form letter.

They claim you are the legal recipient who is eligible for awards valued at $596,841.60.

WA ScamNet begs to differ. This is a form letter which has gone out to countless other Western Australians.

And the only thing you will get for your $30 delivery fee is junk in the form of a list of competitions to enter. They call it a monetary compendium.

You’ll probably find you are ineligible to enter some competitions. Some prize giveaways are run by legitimate retailers wanting to promote their business. Other competitions are conducted by direct marketing companies to get your personal information for mailing lists. Always ask yourself whether the prize is worth you being on yet another mailing list!

This is the same offer made by 17 other scams operating out of three PO Boxes in Fort Langley, BC, Canada.

A WA consumer, who sent off their money to Carter Hammond and Pierce, received a cheap photocopied booklet listing web-based sweepstake and prize giveaways. The consumer was ineligible to enter the sweepstake offering $1 million but could be in the running to win a bottle of intestinal cleanser! Second prize was $5 off a bottle of intestinal cleanser!

IEA makes a big deal about ensuring you do not end up on their non-compliant list by not responding. Actually the non-compliant list is the only list you want to end up on to ensure you don’t get any more worthless offers like this.

All the letters state the same thing, that the company carefully examines, acquires and makes available full entry directives for known cash and prizes equalling or exceeding stated amounts.

The companies have no direct connection with National sponsors (who run the competitions) and only provide information. The National sponsors may alter promotional offers without the company’s knowledge.

From time to time, they (IEA) will send you additional offers.

IEA may claim their letter is an official awards communication but we know its just another scam letter.
