Department of Human Services phishing email scam
A number of phone calls have been received in regards to a email scam appearing to be from the Department of Human Services. Stay Smart Online has confirmed these emails to be fakes and warns recipients to delete them immediately.
The scam email is sent with the subject line "Your 2015 benefit" and attempts to get the recipients to provide personal infor
mation including details on bank accounts, notice of assessments and PAYG summaries.
